Digital Learning Requirements
I teach between multiple software suites, including Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. All services are available on Android, iOS/iPads, Windows and Mac.
Broadband Requirements
I personally recommend a WiFi speed of minimum 40mbps for lessons - this ensures we can hear each other and that shared screens are legible. As a base, a minimum of 20mbps is required. You can check your internet speed by searching "Speed Test".
Windows Computers
Students on Windows computers must install Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Chrome. Microsoft Office is highly recommended aswell.

Apple Mac Computers
Students on Apple Mac computers must install Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Chrome (or an alternative Chromium based browser). If parental controls are enabled, parents may need to 'trust' Edmodo and Microsoft domains. Microsoft Office is highly recommended aswell (iWork is not suitable).

Chromebook/Chromebox Devices
I do not recommend accessing tuition on a ChromeOS device, as I have found these to be extremely temperamental. However, if these need to be used, a supported device is required.
Parents should cross-reference their child's Chromebook with the following list of updated Chromebooks, ensuring their child's device has not surpassed this date.
Chromebook users will need to install the PWA Version of Zoom, Teams and the VLE. These should be downloaded from the Play Store. If this is not available, a limited service from these platforms may be available via a browser.
Full Office 365 is not available via Chromebooks.
iOS
Students using iOS should download apps for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and the VLE. Students may also benefit from the Microsoft Word and PowerPoint apps.
